Feinstein is the founder of this outfit and cousin of Dio, Rods are basicaly the attend of ELF. By the market's laws, essentially from 1986 Rods were off track from metal foreground, later at 2010 get back and issued the album "Vengeance" came out at 2011, after this recent resurface 'Brotherhood of Metal' is the current full length album since previous vengeance. Here, the makers attend Lemmy's method to yell and shout singing, by the princips of Loud and Proud, on vocals post , guitarist David Feistein singing himself outloud, can't say that sings false, but is not cool.
Echoing chorus are too cool , well.. at the first track (brotherhood) starts his intro operatically according feinstein's voice acapella a piano, trend singing, and then continuous with his known power metal buzz, guitars, riffs, lout straight voice, and Carl Cannedy smashing his cymbals,Bordonaro imitate Lemmy's way in bass guitar.
The second (2) and the third (3) track are recorded keenly tough, Feinstein holding mightly band's microphone, also this one recording process, muffle him,the man is not a perfect singer ,should be only guitarist, but he did it exactly the same way like Lemmy manner was, holding the post of microphone, shouted perfect and right. Most of songs accessed to some mix between Rainbow and Deep Purple like track "Everybody Rockin". Also there are no ballads or slow bluesy, all tracks are killing cool and fast enough, tough beat, and potencial rhythms in midtempo, mighty guitars are on steady rhythm, lyrics are like proclamation about metal-cast habits, and syntheseiser is hiding but is under during all songs.
"Smoke On the Horizon" thats like 70ties Rainbow style, think that Graham Bonet would come out to sign, its a brave song with an immediate effect on parasympathetic brain,as and the secret Hammond sounds more revealing here.
"Louder Than Loud" makes an abrupt violent intro, the stormy guitar running forward, hammond covers and frame the melody rhythm, while echoing chorus accompanying and make it stronger, the poet says slogans and exhortations about sound blast intensity as a social reaction.
"Tyrant King":mad riffs and strong guitars are rushing in, also echoing chorus from the rest members make it stronger, melody and rhythm overlap and make it more solid, thats political ideas of the whole album, the political track.
**check the 8th track: titled"-1982-"
<<We worked hard everyday
Writing songs and playing them our way
We could feel it coming together
Al bought the coffee and gave us a place to play
He was the best
(B vox) R.I.P.
We miss him to this day>>
............................
<<e cranked the amps
And pounded the drums
Hit the road
And lived like bums
We didn't care that we had no cash
We didn't care people thought we were trash
Wild Dogs made music we knew would last>>
..................................
<<The Rods were born in 1982
From that year on
We've cranked it up for you
The Rods were born in 1982>>
